Account Set Up

Opening a wholesale account

To become a wholesale customer with Matt & Nat Bakery you must:

  • Complete a MNBG account application form – Download Form Here
  • Be authorized to enter into a legal contract for a registered food business
  • Must have a valid California Resale Certificate and provide the account number on your application

How do I set up a wholesale customer account?

You may request a credit application by contacting our customer service team. Your orders of our baked goods must be purchased for resale to customers or served in food service establishments such as a café, restaurant, or other registered food business. When creating an account with Matt & Nat Bakery you will be required to provide all relevant company information and contact information for the account.

Upon approval of your application, our sales team will welcome you aboard, discuss your terms and payment methods, provide a product pricing guide, and instruct you how to place your orders for our highest-quality baked goods.

You will be issued an account username and password to access your MY ONLINE BAKERY account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and restricting access to authorized users. You may update account information at any time by contacting our customer service team.

Once you have registered and logged in you can view all your past orders online. This makes re-ordering simple and fast.

Customers may not have more than one active account at any given time. Accounts are non-transferable. Matt & Nat Bakery reserves the right to refuse service, decline orders, or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.

All Matt and Nat Bakery customers authorize contact by email, phone, or other means for:

  • Information about our products, deliveries, your account, or your orders
  • Marketing and promotions which we conduct, special or seasonal products, VIP specials, and Matt & Nat Bakery newsletters or publications

We do not provide customer information to third parties.

Customer Terms

By setting up an account and placing an order with us you have agreed to read , understand, and accept our full Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions about these terms, please email us at orders@mattandnatbakery.com.

A contract between the customer and Matt and Nat Bakery Group for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been delivered. Prices and availability of goods is subject to change without notice.

Delivered Fresh Daily

Delivery Terms

Orders are currently dispatched by our own fleet of trucks Monday through Friday. Wholesale deliveries occur between 1:00 am and 8:00 am.

Customers that would like to specify a more exact delivery window or request a daytime delivery will be subject to a delivery fee that is relative to the location of the account and the time of delivery that is requested.

We currently deliver to the following areas: Los Angles County, Orange County, San Diego County, Riverside County, Ventura County and Santa Barbara County.

For all county customers:

Orders must be received by 1:00pm the day prior to delivery, to leave time to freshly produce your baked goods. For Monday morning delivery, orders must be received by 1:00pm the preceding Friday. Some product lines may require a longer lead time. Contact our customer service team, as to which items kay require additional time to produce. All our perishable goods are sent to you in secure packaging that meets our high standards for Food Safety.

Delivery details and instructions need to be discussed when placing your order to ensure our drivers can deliver within the set time frame. Please specify “Signature Optional” if you may be out when your delivery arrives. Our drivers take pictures of all deliveries to ensure timeliness and that the product arrives to you complete and undamaged. We also use GPS and Drivers logs and proof of delivery.

Please let us know as soon as possible if your order has not arrived within the delivery time frame.

Please note that we do not deliver Saturdays or Sundays or on the set US Holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Our order minimum quantity is $150 per drop. We have a $15 drop fee for all orders shipped. For orders under the minimum, we may elect to take your order, however the drop fee is $25.

Matt & Nat Bakery reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and will publish the most recent version on our website at mattandnatbakery.com.

Contact Information

Setting Up a New Account

To set up a new account, please email us at newaccount@mattandnatbakery.com with your name, company name, address, phone number, and email address. We will contact you the next business day and forward our New Account Application. Upon approval, our sales team will welcome you onboard, discuss payment terms and methods, provide a product pricing guide, and instruct you on how to place orders for our high-quality baked goods.

Orders and Delivery – Wholesale Customers

Our delivery service covers Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego Counties, five days a week.

  • To place orders, call (562) 498-2253 Ext 4 or email orders@mattandnatbakery.com.
  • Daily order cutoff times are 1 pm for next-day delivery. Monday deliveries must be ordered by 1 pm the previous Friday.
  • Access to the My Online Bakery Portal may be provided. If granted, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and restricting access to authorized users. This portal allows you to place orders online.
  • For recurring orders, specify your desired delivery day and the products. Recurring orders remain active until we receive written notification to discontinue or change them. Cancellations must be communicated in writing or by phone during working hours.
  • The minimum order quantity is $150, with a $15 delivery fee. The minimum order quantity can be waived for a $25 delivery fee. We may elect to accept your under minimum order.
  • Regular deliveries exclude Saturdays. Saturday deliveries may be negotiated with a minimum 72-hour advance notice and an additional fee. Operations are closed on Sundays and national U.S. holidays.
  • Phone orders and account details must be confirmed each time you place an order. Email orders are confirmed with a return email confirmation.
  • Accounts are non-transferable. Matt & Nat Bakery reserves the right to refuse service, decline orders, or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.
  • Orders not cancelled and rejected upon delivery, will be invoiced full amount to your account.

Changing your order

  • Large quantity orders, custom decorated cakes, fresh fruit pastries, and specialty photo op cakes and cookies require cancellation by 8am two business days before shipping.
  • For all other orders, changes or cancellations must be made by 9am on the business day prior to shipping.
  • Late orders after 1:00pm are subject to approval and if accepted we will charge a $25.00 late fee. It will be added as a line item on the invoice.
  • No changes or cancellations will be accepted after these cut-off times. You must pay for products (and delivery if provided) ordered after the cut-off times.

Receiving Your Orders & Proof of Delivery

  • Deliveries typically occur between 1 am and 8 am on weekdays. Each delivery includes an invoice with details on quantities, case count, and delivery time. Signatures are optional; digital pictures, GPS and drivers logs are used as Proof of Delivery.
  • The customer agrees to consider goods delivered upon presentation of pertinent documents (invoices, statements, POD, etc.) and to settle invoices within payment terms.
  • Special delivery instructions must be coordinated in advance with our customer service team. Products will not be left outdoors unattended.
  • Upon delivery by our driver, title transfers to the buyer. The customer is responsible for storing products at the appropriate temperature, rotating fresh baked goods, and using them for optimal freshness. We are not responsible for any physical damage post-delivery. Pictures of fragile products, especially cakes, are taken upon delivery to ensure no damage occurred during transit.

Missing Products and Quality Issues

  • We pride ourselves on quality and service. If something is wrong, please contact us within 24 hours. We will make it right to the best of our ability.
  • Contact customer service with details about the issue, including the invoice number and a full description of the product defect or service issue.
  • Arrangements will be made to pick up and return products with quality or service-related issues. Credit will not be issued if the product is not stored safely or not in its original packaging when picked up.
  • Returns are inspected upon return. No credit is issued for customer order errors or over-ordering.
  • No claims for damaged or unsatisfactory products will be recognized after 24 hours of delivery. After 24 hours, the customer is deemed to have accepted the goods.

Variations from Pictured Items and Digital Content Provided

  • As cakes and baked goods are handmade, some variations from website pictures may occur.
  • Product designs may improve over time, leading to variations from website images.
  • Color variations may occur due to differences between computer monitors and photo lighting.
  • Variations between delivered products and digital images supplied by customers are expected.
  • Decorations may change over time.

Product Availability

  • We strive to maintain product availability but cannot guarantee availability of all items on our website or in our catalog. If an unavailable item is purchased, you will not be charged for it.

Payments

  • Payments are accepted via check, ACH, bank wire, debit card, and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express). A 3% processing surcharge applies to credit card payments, and a credit card authorization form must be completed.
  • Timely payments within terms are required. We reserve the right to withhold shipments until overdue balances are settled.
  • We charge a $45.00 fee for checks returned by the bank (NSF) non-sufficient funds.
  • Invoices are provided with each shipment, and weekly statements are sent for your reference. Unpaid balances are subject to a 1.5% per month interest charge.
  • The client is liable for all costs related to collection of unpaid amounts, including attorneys’ fees, court costs, and collection agency fees.

Changes in Pricing

  • Prices may change due to market conditions with 30 days’ notice. Product quotes are valid for 30 days. Price changes may occur without notice in force majeure events.

Warranty

  • Matt & Nat Bakery makes no express or implied warranties regarding products or ingredients, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular use.
  • Perishable product warranties expire 24 hours after the invoice date and are void if products are not stored properly.

Miscellaneous

  • These terms bind the client and its successors and assigns. Matt & Nat Bakery is not liable for non-performance or delays due to factors beyond its control.
  • Substitutions may be made for unavailable products.
  • Products are subject to California law.
  • Matt & Nat Bakery will promptly notify of any product recalls. Liability for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages is excluded.
  • Matt & Nat Bakery’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the products. Notices must be in writing and sent to the specified addresses.

General Restrictions

You must not:

  • Use the website or service for activities that breach any laws, infringe a third party’s rights or are contrary to any relevant standards or codes;
  • Use the website or Service in any way, or transmit to or via the website any material, which interferes with other users or defames, harasses, threatens, menaces or offends any person or which prevents any other person from using the website or Service;
  • Make fraudulent or speculative inquiries, purchases, or requests;
  • Use another person’s account without their permission or impersonate another person;
  • Tamper with or hinder the operation of the website;
  • Use any mechanism or technique to obtain the details of another customer;
  • Knowingly transmit any virus, worm, defect or similar disabling or malicious device to the website;
  • Modify, adapt, translate or reverse engineer any portion of the website;
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the website;
  • Create accounts by automated means;

Matt & Nat Bakery owns and is licensed to use all of the Intellectual Property Rights on the website, including software, design, text, graphics, layout, content, and materials. You must not modify, copy, adapt, store in a retrieval system, reproduce, upload, post, transmit, sell, distribute in any way, communicate to the public or use for commercial purposes, any material on our website without our prior written consent. This website contains registered trademarks and other trademarks which are protected by law. Unfortunately no, we only sell to businesses that establish an account with us.

You can order up to 1:00pm for next day delivery. If you have an unusually large or custom order we recommend placing the order ahead of time.

We accept Check, ACH, and Credit Card. A 3% processing fee will be applied to all credit card charges.

We do not accept returns due to our Food Safety Guidelines. We only accept returns if it was an error on our behalf.

You will get your invoice upon delivery and will also receive an electronic invoice the next day.
